Warm Welcome for 2012 from CEO

Dear Colleagues

The Tshwane South College for Further Education and Training Management and Council wish to welcome you back to the College with a hope and trust that you are refreshed and more prepared to respond to the call made by  the Minister of Higher Education Dr Blade Nzimande to make FET institutions a place of choice in so far as transferring skills and re-skilling the nation is concerned.

In order for us to respond favourably to the call alluded to above, the college management has developed a document in line with all pieces of legislation governing us, entitled, “MONITORING AND EVALUATION”. The staff is urged to read through the document and operationalise it for our students to be given what they are entitled to, namely; EDUCATIVE TEACHING, TRAINING AND LEARNING.

The staff is further urged to avail themselves to be work shopped on a Code of Conduct of employees of our college. Management of campuses is also urged to implement tactics and strategies they were taken through towards the end of 2011 to curb high rate of late coming and absenteeism.

Colleagues, it is crystal clear that the South African Universities do not cope with the influx of learners that have just matriculated. I urge you to take this advantage and make our institution accessible to those seeking admission into tertiary institutions. You are urged to come with creative ways of answering to this national call even if it means the college must be opened 24/7. The nation needs us, let us stand up and be counted.

Remember that education is a vehicle through which every facet of the nation can be changed for the country to tackle most if not all its ills.

Let 2012 be a fulfilling year for all the stakeholders within our Institution.

IT CAN’T BE BUSINESS AS USUALL.

Corporate Identity:

This logo was primarily designed to symbolise an individual generically (in keeping with and showing solidarity with goverment's BATHO PELE - the people first, project), the interaction and dynamic processes between assessor and the learner. It also symbolises that the college is people driven and the continuous development they receive through their learning experience, reaching to the future with a vision to be recognised as a world class further education and training college.
The individual, the circle, the institution, excellence
Trust, solidarity, continuous processes, perpetual learning, future.

Dark blue = assessors
Light blue = learners, aspects from small to large through the growth, development, education and training experience.
